It's a Boy!

I had an ultrasound done the other day, and we found out that we're having a boy. As soon as we saw our baby on the screen, he appeared to be talking...he kept opening and closing his mouth. He also wouldn't stop moving around...I think he knew we were watching him and wanted to show us what he could do already. Seeing him was such an amazing experience for the two of us. We love our baby so much already, and we can't wait to see him.

It's been a while

Well, it's been a while since I last posted, and a lot has happened since we left Japan in July. Albert and I moved to Tinker AFB, which is located in Oklahoma City. As soon as we arrived, we started looking for a house off base. Luckily, we found a nice home located in Moore, OK, which is about 15 minutes from the base. We absolutely love our new home! Along with buying a new home, Albert and I found out that we're going to have a baby! I'm about 3 months pregnant right now and due early May. We are so excited to finally be adding to our family!

Goodbye, Japan!

Well, it's almost time to leave Japan. It has definitely been hard to think about saying goodbye, but we know that it's time to move on. Misawa has been such a great blessing to us in so many ways. Not only did we get the chance to meet some amazing people and develop strong friendships, but I also had the opportunity to find my calling in life...teaching. I truly believe that Albert and I were meant to come to Misawa. We'll never forget all the wonderful times we had in this beautiful country.

Father's Day

Father's Day has been an extremely emotional day for Albert and me. We lost our dads several years ago, but it still feels like it just happened yesterday. In honor of their memory, we wanted to post some pictures to remind us of the good times we shared with them and how blessed we were to have them in our lives.

American Day in Misawa

Albert had a great time "jamming out" with his friends on American Day. Even though it was pouring outside, Albert wasn't going to miss the opportunity to bang on those drums. He's been playing the drums since he was in elementary school, and I don't think he'll ever get tired of it. I always tell him that he was born with a drum stick in his hand.

Another trip to Tokyo

Since our time in Japan is coming to a close, we decided to take one more trip to Tokyo with our good friends, the Davis family. We spent Shelagh's birthday at Disney Sea. We had a blast!
